The area
South Surrey / White Rock are charming seaside communities located on the Semiahmoo Peninsula on the west coast of Canada about 35 miles south of Vancouver near the U.S. border. We are surrounded on three sides by ocean and a river and on one side by farmland. We receive much more sunshine than Vancouver and are renowned for our sandy beaches, the warmest sea water north of Santa Barbara, California, our lush forest parks for hiking and biking, a myriad of fine restaurants of every ethnic persuasion with outdoor dining overlooking the sea and for some of the best golf courses in Canada. There are 15 golf courses within a 15 minute drive. Some are of top international standard while others are par 3 courses. We also have excellent stables to rent horses to ride miles of forested trails and meadows in Campbell Valley Park. Kayaking, sailing, wildlife viewing and fishing trips are also available.

Our two main beaches are White Rock and Crescent Beach. Both have waterfront promenades beside the beaches. Hundreds of walkers enjoy the atmosphere and the sunset as they stroll along the walkways with friends and relatives. When one wants to enjoy the many sights of Vancouver one can easily access big city life. It is a safe, cosmopolitan and beautiful city. One can also access alpine scenery rivaling the Rocky Mountains at nearby Mount Baker National Forest. One tremendous bonus to foreign visitors is that our dollar is worth about two thirds the value the of the U.S. Dollar. Europeans and Americans can enjoy our restaurants, golf courses and other attractions at extremely attractive prices compared to home.
